LAB-GROWN DIAMONDS

The only difference between lab diamonds and mined diamonds is their origin. A lab-created diamond is grown in a lab using the advanced technological process which stimulates the natural process of a diamond formation, consisting of actual carbon atoms arranged in the structure of a diamond crystal. Therefore, lab-created diamonds are exactly the same as natural ones in terms of chemical, physical, and optical characteristics.

BENEFITS OF LAB-GROWN DIAMONDS

Purity

Lab-grown diamonds are purer than those which are mined naturally. Natural-minded diamonds have impurities and a tiny amount of nitrogen, while man-made diamonds do not.

Affordability

While natural diamonds are extremely expensive due to their rarity, thanks to technology, lab-created diamonds are available at affordable prices.

Environmentally-friendly

Mining activities can be harmful to the environment and the earth’s sustainability. The mining operations create 143 pounds of carbon dioxide per carat mined which is huge! Lab-grown diamonds, on the other hand, do not have these issues and are considered environmentally-friendly diamonds.

The only drawback can be related to the very low resale value and the long-term value you’re losing when choosing a lab diamond over a natural diamond. So, before making your decision, try to consider all the factors to make the best choice.
