HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR JEWELeR

With a little love and care, you can keep your jewelry's brilliance for years to come.  Follow our guide below to learn what to avoid and how you can care for different precious metals, diamonds, and natural gemstones.

Wearing Your Jewelry

• Avoid chemicals.  Take off your jewelry when using bleach, cleaning products, and any other chemicals.  Avoid spraying perfume, and applying lotions and other beauty products directly onto your jewelry.
• Maintain its durability.  Take off your jewelry when you shower and when you engage in heavy exercise, especially when swimming in the ocean or chlorinated pools.  Settings may also become loose over time.  We recommend that you bring in your jewelry for general maintenance twice a year.
• Avoid exposing your jewelry to extreme temperatures, humidity, or sunlight.

Storing Your Jewellery

• Store your jewelry in our original Golden Rose Fine Jewelry packaging soft pouches or soft-lined boxes.  
• Store jewelry separately to avoid scratching.

Precious Metal Maintenance

• Use appropriate polishing clothes to prevent premature tarnishing and remove the build-up of dirt.
• Do not use tissue paper, paper towels, or any other kind of rough or textured materials to wipe your jewelry as it will cause scratches.
• Bring in your jewelry for general maintenance twice a year.  Some maintenance services we offer include repolishing, Rhodium plaiting, cleaning, and retightening of settings.

Gemstone Maintenance

• Natural gemstones are delicate, some may be even more delicate than others. But as a general rule, avoid contact with all chemicals, cleaners, and hot water.
• Only gently clean natural gemstones with a soft, lightly damp cloth.  Do not use tissue paper, paper towels, or any other kind of rough or textured materials.
• Gemstones such as Emeralds, Pearls, and Turquoise are especially delicate.  They should only be cleaned gently and cautiously with an untreated soft dry cloth.

Our 1-Year Warranty

Each piece of Jax Jewelers House comes with a one-year warranty.  We will replace any lost side or accent stones (under 0.05ct) within one year at no extra charge.*  We also offer complimentary maintenance services within the first year which include:

• Repolishing
• Rhodium Plaiting
• Cleaning
• Retightening of Settings.

*Main stones and stones bigger than 0.05ct are not covered
